rainbow phoenix problems - Guild Wars Forums

I just got my rainbow phoenix and I turned it into the zaishen menagerie. Well I went to another character to tame the rainbow phoenix ( a low level one to raise the phoenix as that character grows). But I could not find it on the grounds to tame. So I thought then that I just brought the Phoenix there and forgot to turn it in or that it it was character specific. Well I got my character with the bird and turned it in again, left then came back (this time giving away the phoenix). I still did not see the phoenix on the grounds. I am so very confused.

If I'm correct the rainbow phoenix should show up in the same area the canthan phoenix is and around the crabs (white and blue) , I believe its labeled as the west beach, its the first thing you see when you follow the path straight from zoning.

Am I incorrect? I took a quick walk thru of the grounds and did not see it... Is this a glitch or am I looking in the wrong place, could it be that it needs to be level 20 before its added to the actual grounds?

Has anyone had this problem,or more importantly know how to fix it?

Your new character need to have the same level in the HoM as the character that charmed the phoenix. I believe it is the one pet that is not account wide.

From Wiki :
* Spawns in the Hall of Monuments as long as the following conditions are met:

1. Having all four Monumental Tapestries added to player's Hall of Monuments.
2. Either having at least "Kind of a Big Deal" and all five monuments filled. (maximum amount of items displayed) or achieving "People Know Me".
3. Entering the area without any other players, heroes or henchmen.

It is account wide. I just tamed it from the menagerie with another character, but at the first try i had the same problem, the damn chicken was never to be found. At the moment i had heros in the team. I rezoned, dumped them, went back in, talked to the guy near the fences that brings up any pet you have in the menagerie, and there it was, also i noticed it was at its usual place , not far away, near the Phoenix . Just keep trying.

My pet has already spawned in the hall of monuments.

I already tamed it.

I already talked to Emryd the Tamer twice and both times she said that my level 5 phoenix was added to my collections and that I can see it on the grounds.

Wynn will only bring a pet to you if it's tier higher than tier 1 , you can not get a tier 1 pet spawned for you. You must find tier 1 pets on the grounds.

My problem is that I do not see the phoenix on the grounds, for my main (who unlocked it), or my other characters. Because I do not see it on the grounds, I can not obtain another one, unless I go to the HOM again.

Oh this might be the problem, I also went in with heroes. I will try it without heroes.

Edit: I just tried it and tamed it on my new character! thank you so much for your suggestion, it worked!

are you entering the menagerie alone? You cant have heroes or henchies with you.

So as long as one of my chars has 'People Know Me,' I can tame the rainbow phoenix with any char?

Edit - Lol i guess you can....all those hours wasted on grinding the KoaBD title when i didnt have to.

Sure you can. You can charm any pet that has been added to your menangerie, by any char.

I charmed the rainbow phoenix in my HoM with my rit, who was r2 KoaBD, then, after I leveled it a bit, added to my menangeria and taimed it with my ranger, who is not even r1 KoaBD at the moment.
